My doll table definitely needs a cute centerpiece to bring all this week's craft decorations and snacks together!
I used this tutorial from She Wears Many Hats to make a smaller scale doll sized rice jar!
I put a little rice in two bowls, and dropped some red and blue food coloring in each.

Mix it up with a spoon.
Set it out to dry.
While it is drying, take a thin stick...
Cut a rectangle of paper (I used scrapbooking paper) the size you think would make a great American flag shape when it is folded in half. The size would depend on the size of your stick. Fold the rectangle in half.
I cut a smaller rectangle to be the stars part of the flag and glued it onto the stripes.

Place stick inside the fold and glue the wrong sides of the paper flag together.
Once the rice is dry (or semi dry), get a clear doll sized glass, cup or jar. Put each color of rice into the jar to create red, white and blue layers.
Now you have a patriotic centerpiece for your table!
