Mini Julie's Disney Trip

I recently took mini-Julie to Disneyland! I snapped some shots of her around the park.

On the airplane!

Arrived at the hotel.

Which doll is real and which one is the reflection?

Matterhorn first thing in the morning!

In front of another mountain, this time Thunder Mountain!

She explored Tom Sawyer's Island.

And drove down the road on Autopia!

Once it got dark, it was hard to take pictures, but I managed to get this one of mini-Julie in front of the space rocket outside of the Pizza restaurant in Tommorowland.

I had so much fun at Disneyland and I hope you enjoyed this post! If you want to see more about my time at Disneyland, I'll be doing a post on Tuesday on my other blog here!

Disney Duesday #2

A while ago I started a series called "Disney Duesday" which was to happen every week on Tuesday. I'm not sure if it will be weekly, but here is another installation!

Phoebe has an affinity for Monsters INC, as well as dressing up, so she put together an outfit to DisneyBound her favorite characters!

Hope you're having a great week! :)

Tacy by the Tree -- A Photo Shoot

I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving and are enjoying the weekend!

I dressed all my dolls in Christmas pajamas and started french braiding their hair for the holiday season. My Disney Animator Anna Doll got her hair braided too, but I realized I hadn't decided on a name for her. So, I thought for a few minutes and came up with Tacy, which is inspired by the Betsy-Tacy books by Maud Hart Lovelace. At the same time, I really wanted to take pictures in front of the Christmas tree! Thus, this photo shoot was inspired!

So cute 😍

I hope you enjoyed this photo shoot! It was a lot of fun to do! Also, Tacy needs a middle name, so if you have a suggestion please leave a comment!

Bonus pictures of blurry Christmas lights 😁

Disney Duesday!!

I have decided to start a new series, in which I will post something Disney themed each Tuesday. Since there isn't a day of the week that starts with a D, the series will be called Disney Duesday. :)

For this week, I dressed all my dolls in Disney clothes and took a picture :D

Disney Tees :)

Today I am excited to show you two new shirts I recently made for my dolls! I think they both turned out really cute! :)

The first shirt is up-cycled from a blue t-shirt. It says 'Sharkbait Hoo Ha Ha', which is a quote from the Disney movie Finding Nemo :)

The next shirt is made from the Banded Dolman Shirt pattern from Doll it Up. It is up-cycled from a light pink t-shirt, and says 'Faith Trust and Pixie Dust'.

I printed the words and a picture of Tinkerbell on a piece of iron-on transfer paper. When the paper is ironed onto the fabric, it has a plastic look until after the shirt is washed. Once the fabric with the transfer is washed, it gets a crackled texture. I prefer this crackled texture, so I may hand wash these shirts in the future.

Thanks for reading!

UP Inspired Outfit

A new doll calls for new clothes!

To make this cute outfit inspired by Disney's UP, I started with the t-shirt.  I used this pattern, and lengthened it about 3/4 of an inch at the hem.  Before sewing the pattern pieces together, I ironed on a picture of the UP house with balloons.  I found the image on Google images.

The shirt has great mix and match ability because of all the different colors of the house and balloons.

The leggings are upcycled from the sleeve of a child's shirt.  I cute it the length I thought it would need to be, and measured how long the legs should be.  I cut a line up the middle to make two pant legs (similar to how I would make a pair of doll tights from a sock) and stitched.  The waistband does not need elastic.  The hem has a cute decoration.

The two pieces:

I've been having fun trying out hairstyles on Beth's short hair.  Here are some bonus shots of her hairstyle:
