'Banded Dolman Shirt' pattern

Doll-it-Up recently published a free pattern called the 'Banded Dolman Shirt'. I was excited to see this style of shirt offered as a pattern, so I downloaded it!

I thought these shirts were cute, I had to make two!

The first one I made was of a purple and white striped knit fabric.  I believe this fabric has rayon in it, but I'm not completely sure.  It has a different texture than regular t-shirt knit.

The shirt is designed to be made of stretchy knit fabric, because it doesn't have any closure.

The second one is a little more dressy. I made it from a sequin t-shirt!

The back of this one is solid black t-shirt fabric. It is a little tight to get on.  I think the sequins make the fabric less stretchy.  I might add Velcro to the back.

I also made this hat from the Newsboy and Beret Hat pattern that was free on Pixie Faire last Friday.

The hat is fully lined, so it can be reversible!  I think the black side looks great with the sequin Dolman Shirt.

What My Dolls are Wearing Today #2!

While it isn't quite fall yet, I've been going through my doll clothes and seeing what my dolls will need for the coming chilly weather.  I put together these two outfits!

The first outfit is on Maggie.  It consists of a sweatshirt, black skater skirt, white socks and black boots.

The sweatshirt is made from Simplicity pattern 4297, sweatshirt B without the hood.

The skirt is also from Simplicity 4297, skirt A.

The black boots are from Dollshobbiesandmore on Amazon here.  I am not sure where I got the white socks.

Beth wears the second outfit, which is more her style.  Casual and comfortable!

The black sweats are made from the Chuba pants pattern on Pixie Faire.

The pink sweater is also made from Simplicity 4297, this time shirt A.

The boots are from Sophia's, and usually look like this.  For this particular outfit, though, I folded them down to create a different look.

Thanks for reading!

Lacy Kimono

I accidently posted this earlier today before it was ready.  It didn't have any pictures yet!

I made this cute top out of sweatshirt fleece using the tutorial on Many Small Friends here.  It was supposed to be for my American Girl Doll, but it turned out a little small because I didn't have enough fabric.  My slimmer Kidz n Cats doll always needs new items for her wardrobe, and it fits her great!

I liked the raw edge look in one of the examples on Many Small Friends, so I didn't hem the sleeves or the neckline.

It has a boatneck

Lace at the hem
I still wanted one for my American Girl Doll, though, so I made another!  This time, since my fabric piece was too skinny, I added an extra strip.  You can see it at the shoulder.

The extra strip of fabric on each side lengthened the sleeves, so I cut little thumb holes.

Also, I updated my Kidz n Cats and OG boy's profile photos on the Meet my Dolls page
