Why Hello There! // Family Photo, Instagram?!

Hello! I am happy to say that most of my doll things are now unpacked, and I have been able to set up my doll rooms and take a few photos! I decorated for Christmas and put the tree up!

I took new headshots for each of my dolls because I started an Instagram account this week! I had wanted to do that for a while, since there is such a large doll photography community there. My account is @reveriedollsag and I hope to be posting quite frequently.

Trip to the Museum

I recently went to a museum, and although I didn't have a doll with me (sadly), I thought it would be fun to post a few pictures of the things at the museum that were doll-ish!

This was a doll that was part of the Native American section of the museum.

There were some dolls on display in another area.

This is one of those things that Samantha has! You look into it and it makes the picture 3-D.

If you want to see more photography (typewriters, instruments, etc.) from the museum, I posted a bunch of pictures on my photography blog here.

Decorating for Christmas Photoshoot

A bit ago, Beth, Maggie, and Brooke donned their festive pajamas and got out all the decorations to get ready for Christmas!

It's almost Christmas! :D Today I decorated Christmas cookies! I took a picture of the finished ones I made so I could share it :)

UP Inspired Outfit

A new doll calls for new clothes!

To make this cute outfit inspired by Disney's UP, I started with the t-shirt.  I used this pattern, and lengthened it about 3/4 of an inch at the hem.  Before sewing the pattern pieces together, I ironed on a picture of the UP house with balloons.  I found the image on Google images.

The shirt has great mix and match ability because of all the different colors of the house and balloons.

The leggings are upcycled from the sleeve of a child's shirt.  I cute it the length I thought it would need to be, and measured how long the legs should be.  I cut a line up the middle to make two pant legs (similar to how I would make a pair of doll tights from a sock) and stitched.  The waistband does not need elastic.  The hem has a cute decoration.

The two pieces:

I've been having fun trying out hairstyles on Beth's short hair.  Here are some bonus shots of her hairstyle:

Lacy Kimono

I accidently posted this earlier today before it was ready.  It didn't have any pictures yet!

I made this cute top out of sweatshirt fleece using the tutorial on Many Small Friends here.  It was supposed to be for my American Girl Doll, but it turned out a little small because I didn't have enough fabric.  My slimmer Kidz n Cats doll always needs new items for her wardrobe, and it fits her great!

I liked the raw edge look in one of the examples on Many Small Friends, so I didn't hem the sleeves or the neckline.

It has a boatneck

Lace at the hem
I still wanted one for my American Girl Doll, though, so I made another!  This time, since my fabric piece was too skinny, I added an extra strip.  You can see it at the shoulder.

The extra strip of fabric on each side lengthened the sleeves, so I cut little thumb holes.

Also, I updated my Kidz n Cats and OG boy's profile photos on the Meet my Dolls page
