Curling Maggie's Hair

This week I decided to re-curl Maggie's hair! I've had her for a year and a half, and noticed lately that her curls aren't as tight as they used to be. When I found these curlers, I knew the time had come to fix Maggie's curls!

I used this 10 pack of foam rollers. Ten was a great number; I didn't see a reason to have more than ten.

I took Maggie's hair out, then sprayed it with water, and brushed it.

I rolled up the curler with the way her hair naturally curls.

I continued all around her head.

I left the curlers in for about 2 hours before carefully removing them.

Ta da!

Her curls are much tighter now! :)

For comparison, in the photo below, her curls are much more relaxed.

Playing in the Stream -- A Photo Shoot

Maggie loves to play outdoors, so I did this fun photo shoot of her! :D

I don't usually edit my pictures, but for this shoot I decided to slightly alter them. All I did was click "Enhance" on my computer's picture viewer. It made the colors more vibrant, so I kept it!

Also, I added a picture of a Stellar's Jay to my "Wildlife Photos" page!

Teddie's Bedroom Tour!

It's time to tour Teddie's bedroom! I haven't got her bedding made yet, but the rest of her room is pretty much complete.

Here is an overview. She has a loft bed, a chair, a dresser, some shelves, and clothes pins to hang things.

A closer look at her dresser, which is from JoAnn's. It is meant to be a jewelry box, but is a great size for AGs. I painted it light blue.

The top of the dresser has some shells, a jar of sand, and wooden letters for her initials "Teddie Rose". On the wall is a picture p, that I found by searching a Google Images, of Stitch surfing. The colors of the art were the inspiration for the colors of the bedroom. I made the picture using a AmericanGirlIdeas tutorial.

To the left, there is a rocking chair that I have had for a while, but painted blue to match Teddie's decor.

The left wall has another piece of art that is all about the beach and mermaids.

She's got a little backpack in the space between the chair and dresser.

Now for a look at the shelf, which I made from a Home Depot pencil box kit.

On the top shelf there is a shell, a sticker that says "laugh", and a necklace. The middle shelf has her white iPad (made with an AmericanGirlIdeas tutorial). The bottom shelf has a flower hair clip.

The right wall has a place to hang small items.

Her loft bed is made of foam board from the Dollar Tree.

The foot board says "Surf". I made it out of foam board and craft foam.

It is a great room for having a friend over!

I hope you enjoyed taking a look at Teddie's new bedroom!

Coral Pineapple -- A Photo Shoot

Today I bring you a photo shoot of Teddie in her newest outfit :D

The outfit consists of dark blue jeggings, a white dolman top, a hair bow, a pineapple necklace, and coral Our Generation flats.

Her hair is so curly! :D

I used upcyled material for the top, so the back of her shirt has a crocheted flower design.

I think I like this one the best :) If only there weren't flyaways...

Which photo did you like the best?
