It's June!
I decided to try to improve the dress that I recently made for Beth, which resulted in 2 variations of it so far. Neither of them are what I would want the final design to be, so I still have at least one more redo in mind.
This is the first. I made it from a purple t-shirt. To me, it kind of looks like a bridesmaid dress.
This is the second. It turned out too short to be a dress, so I threw some leggings on underneath.
When I took the two dolls out for pictures of the top and dress, I wasn't planning on taking additional photos. But, I ended up taking more XD
Phoebe gets along with everyone in the doll house well, but when she arrived she and Teddie quickly became best friends.
Hope you're having a good week!

Beth of Stony Hill // a photo shoot
This week I sewed a little summer dress! I think the inspiration came from a recent read of Rilla of Ingleside by L.M. Montgomery. I imagine the girls wearing dresses with lots of gathers, so I ended up making a modern dress based on that! I didn't use a pattern, but just used rectangles and fixed things as I went along. A necklace and braided up-do (from a YouTube tutorial) completed the look.
Also, all of these pictures were edited slightly (just the brightness, sharpness, and color intensity). I'm not too experienced with picture editing, but just changed it to when I thought it looked a bit better. Would you be interested in seeing a comparison post with the originals and edits side by side?
Anyways, here are the photos and I hope you enjoy :)

Saturday Sewing Sum Up! - A Day Early!
It feels like I've been doing a lot more sewing lately, and today I will show ya'll what I've made over the past two weeks! (all this is listed in my Etsy shop; link is in the sidebar)
This outfit includes a forest green top with lace sleeves and an elk on the front. The brown khaki skirt has a patch of lace, and the legwarmers are also lace. I tried to tie the outfit together with the lace.
This unique "New York" fabric I upcycled from a human shirt. The jeggings are very versatile, therefore any of the other tops in this post can be worn with them.
This is one of my favorites! The top has lace sleeves and a world map. The skirt is army green khaki with brown stitching and a lace patch. It could also been worn with the brown skirt above, which was my goal.
Lastly are these light brown khaki shorts with a cuffed hem.
I'm excited because I have more sewing ideas in the works!

Saturday Sewing Sum Up #2
I didn't sew as much this week, but did make a few items!
I just love this skater skirt! The color is so bright! I used old stretch leggings for the fabric.
These frayed denim shorts I up cycled from actual jean shorts. The orangey color of these is unique, I think.
Lastly, I made this green circle skirt! Now my dolls have 5 circle skirts that I've made I believe... But they could always use more :)
Bonus picture:
Have a happy Saturday!

Saturday Sewing Sum Up! #1
This week I will be starting a new series: Saturday Sewing Sum Up! Each Saturday I will post pictures of things I have sewn that week. Everything I sew eventually makes it to the blog one way or another, but sometimes it can be a while after I've actually made the item.
I've been doing a lot of sewing, so this post might get long!
Denim shorts for boys! I've made three pairs of these dark ones recently.
And a lighter denim pair.
An orange fall tee for boy dolls.
And a striped yellow tee for boy dolls (this was in my Etsy shop but has already been sold)
These are some simple black knit shorts for my dolls. I decided they needed some because they are so versatile!
A pair of black sport shorts with a white stripe for boy or girl dolls. These were in my Etsy shop, but have already been sold.
These winter-y lounge pants are available in my Etsy shop. I made them from flannel and are cute for a boy or girl doll.
Technically these aren't sewn, but I made these sandals last month. I saw some brown sandals on Amazon, and wanted them, but realized that I could probably just make a similar pair!
Red athletic shorts with a white stripe... In my Etsy shop.
Blue boy shorts.
Tan...
And also olive-brown!
Finally, I made this graphic tank for my dolls. I found the image online, it's sort of a watercolor with different whales. :)
I hope you enjoyed this post!

This is a t-shirt I made for my dolls with a little Hawaii graphic.
