2 Years! // Brooke and Curly Photo Shoot

Not my picture :)

It's April 27 and today marks 2 years blogging about my dolls! Yay! In case you don't know, I started this Blogger blog last summer, but before that I posted the same sorts of things on my Wordpress blog. I basically just switched locations because my Wordpress was out of space.

Anyway, I am so happy to have started blogging about dolls! And I love reading all your fun blogs! I have learned a lot about photography and sewing. When I started I had one American Girl 18" doll, and, well, the family keeps growing! I have also started an Etsy shop which has been great :)

I will interrupt my photo story for this photo shoot of Brooke and her dog, Curly. Enjoy :D

Thank you for supporting my blog and I look forward to making many more fun posts!

PS The next part of the photo story will be up tomorrow :)

New In My Etsy Shop

This week I listed a bunch of cute new things in my Etsy shop!  Since there were quite a few necklaces, I made a collage of some of them.

From top left: palm trees, camera, castle, ice cream cone, treble clef, "cowgirl", "dance", a ship, and a compass. They were a lot of fun to make!

This is a muscle tank with a blue rhinestone star; perfect for a patriotic doll!

Also, this pineapple necklace!

The Trip --- Part 3

Time for Part 3 of the girls' trip!

~~~~~~
            “Chewie, light speed!” Maggie said as the plane ascended.
            “Sure thing, Rey!” Beth returned.
            “Wow! Nothing but clouds,” Brooke said in wonder as she took a picture.
APPROXIMATELY TWO HOURS LATER
            “We’re here!” Maggie jumped into the air.
            “California!” Brooke squealed. “Hey, check out those palm trees!”
            Maggie tugged on Brooke’s arm, “Come on let’s go to Disneyland!”
Stay tuned for Part 4!
The Trip - Part 2
Part 2 of the photo story!
            Brooke rolled the suitcase down the driveway. “Come on girls!”
            Maggie and Beth clamored behind her, chatting away.
            “We are going to go on an airplane!” Maggie gasped.
            Beth asked, “Are you scared?”
            “No way! I’m going to pretend I’m in Star Wars!” Maggie ran around pretending to be the Millennium Falcon.
            Brooke called the girls over, “Come on, the shuttle is here.”
            Beth said, “Here we go!"
            At the airport, the girls waited for their flight to board.
            Maggie blinked, “How long until our plane leaves? We’ve been waiting forever!”
            A voice over the loudspeaker said, “Flight 12A now boarding.”
            Beth’s eyes popped open, “That’s us!”
            Brooke told the other girls, "Time to go!"
            The girls clamored off to board the plane.
To Be Continued...
New in My Etsy Shop
Yesterday I listed four new items in my Etsy shop! All of the items are upcycled. (Link to my Etsy shop is in the sidebar)
The first item is this white tank top. I drew pink and black triangles on the front. I also adapted the Liberty Jane t-shirt pattern into a new different look for this top.
These blue leggings...
This maroon and black baseball tee...
And matching maroon and black leggings!
Thanks for reading!
The Trip -- Part 1
This is the first part of a photo story featuring my dolls as themselves as they take a trip to Disneyland. I didn't actually take my dolls with me, but I thought it would be fun to incorporate pictures of them with pictures I took while at the park. I had a lot of fun writing and taking pictures for the story and I hope you enjoy!
Without further ado...
~~~~~~~~

Brooke heaved the suitcase onto the bed.
            Maggie asked, “What will we need to pack?”
            “Mostly clothes and I’ll take the camera.”

            Maggie began pulling clothes out of the dresser drawers.  “Pants or shorts?” She held up a pair of each.

            “Shorts, but maybe one pair of pants. It will probably be warm,” Brooke took the shorts from Maggie. She laid them in the suitcase.

            Beth appeared in the doorway. “How’s packing going?”

            Maggie’s arms were loaded with t-shirts and shorts, “Great!”

            Brooke helped Maggie and asked Beth, “How about you?"
            “I’m almost done. I’m so excited! I can’t believe we are going to Disneyland!”

            Maggie shouted, “Yay!”

Hope you like it so far!
