What My Dolls Are Wearing -- Beth's Outfit

Today I have another "What My Dolls Are Wearing" post, featuring Beth!

She is wearing what is starting to be her favorite slouch grey cardigan, over a black tee.

Her shorts have a black and white floral design.

Her wavy hair is pulled back from her face with a small rubber band on top.

The necklace is made of black jewelry cord, a jump ring, and a charm I made from ShrinkFilm. A little smiley face :)

New Sparkly Sequin High Tops

The other pair of shoes I got for Christmas are this stylish high tops from The Queen's Treasure! They have sparkly sequins. I put them on Brooke with her Disneyland shirt, because I think the sparkly shoes are perfect for the magic of Disneyland :)

These shoes are great quality. I am careful with the sequins though, because I don't want them to fall off. I'm not sure if they will, so I'm being cautious.

I think high tops are so cute on dolls :)

Because of school, posting may be a bit less regular. I just wanted to let you know :)

Do you like Disney?

American Girl Books

I love reading and writing, especially historical fiction! Before I got Maggie (Rebecca) I had never read any American Girl books. I read Rebecca's first book last Christmas. Last week, I discovered that my local library had tons of American Girl books! They have historical, Beforever, mysteries, and GOTY books. I read 'Maryellen: The One and Only' last week. The story was really nice and teaches some good lessons.

This week I read 'Caroline: Facing the Enemy' (my library didn't have the first Caroline book). Caroline is very courageous and can quickly make sacrifices in order to do what is right. I enjoyed reading about the Beforever girls behind the dolls that I have seen often :)

I also borrowed a History Mystery by Barbara Steiner titled 'Mystery at Chilkoot Pass'. It was about a family traveling for the Klondike Gold Rush. It would be cool to see a doll with the features of the main girl in the book, Hetty. She has black curly hair and green eyes.

I hope to continue reading more AG books!

Also, I added a poll to my sidebar, I would love it if you would check it out and share your opinion!

Have you read any American Girl books? If so, do you prefer the historical or GOTY ones?

Lea Clark GOTY 2016 - What I Like

Today I will be sharing some things I like about Lea Clark and her collection! I think her collection is a good follow up contrast to Grace's. Grace was great for girls who like baking, France, travel, etc., while Lea is great for girls who like being outdoors or animals.

(All photos are from Americangirl.com)

First off, the doll! Her eyes are pretty, with a new color of hazel! Her light hair with tanned skin gives a stunning appearance.
I think her hair is extremely unique. The caramel color looks lighter than AG #39. It also looks pretty thick and sort of layered to me.

Lea has two camera in her collection! Her accessory set has one.

As for Lea's Rainforest Hike Outfit, the t-shirt appears very versatile. Check out the watch! It can tell the time and altitude.

The Hike Accessories would be a fun set for going on a hike with your doll. Her pack has a drinking tube. I think that's a fun detail :)

The Beach Accessories include a scuba mask and flippers. I wonder what the scuba mask looks like when it's on a doll? These items would be cool for a photoshoot!

The lifejacket from the Ocean Kayak Kit is so cute! Again, I would be interested to see what it looks like with a doll wearing it. This set also comes with an underwater camera!

Lastly, her Rainforest House has some thoughtful play details. From the stock photos, it looks like the hammock can be outside the hut or inside, and the bed can be lowered for bedtime or raised to make more room during the day. The hammock would be a good place for a friend to spend the night :) The little window is a cute touch. Also, the shower on the side of the hut is nice to rinse off after playing at the beach. The tablet comes with a USB cord that can connect to her cameras.

So that is a few of the things I like most about Lea's collection! I am excited to see pictures/reviews of the doll when others get her. There are already a few opening videos up on YouTube as well.

What do you like most about Lea's Collection?
